Panda Patch Management vs. Tenable Security Center

Perfect for medium-to-large enterprises where endpoint management becomes complex, the tool helps maintain security and monitor issues detected on workstations and/or threats via the web, USB, etc. I do not recommend this tool for small businesses, however, due to its high annual licensing cost—an aspect of the product that could stand to be improved.

Tenable.sc is best suited for those organizations who are not very comfortable with Cloud and want an on-premises solution. If any organization has to follow some guidelines that no data should go to the cloud, in this case, Tenable.sc is a perfect fit as it's installed in the infra Datacenter and no data goes to Cloud. Tenable.sc won't be appropriate for those who have their infra setup on cloud.

I believe the tool could be improved by adding additional features—particularly for operating system update management, such as the ability to create management groups—thereby centralizing all patch management in a single console and enhancing agility and security for workstations. It could also include a dashboard to notify users of new patches, centralize news about critical software patches, and so on.

On all of the occasions that I have had to reach out to Tenable for assistance, they have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Solutions and support are provided quickly, and they work on the issue until it is resolved.

Panda features a faster, more intuitive management console with settings that are easy for network administrators to understand, thereby enabling them to utilize the tool's full range of capabilities. Panda also consumes significantly less RAM, in contrast to the high memory usage associated with Trend on desktops.

Tenable.sc [(formerly SecurityCenter)] has been around for a long time and in our opinion offered the easiest configuration for compliance scanning and it's rating system was more impressive than Rapid 7's.
