Paxata vs. SAP Agile Data Preparation

Paxata can be highly useful to someone who doesn't like/have any experience with writing codes to treat data before using it as input into BI dashboards. Paxata can accelerate data cleaning in environments where a large amount of unclean data is generated and business decisions on the go are required. It performs really well while dealing with natural language.

SAP Agile Data Preparation is well suited for an organization with loads of data where data can be transformed, analyzed and shared on a single click. Thus, the software is well suited for organization which have intense data working. Further, the software is not suited for small/medium organization as there data would be comparatively less and they may not be able to afford the software.

• Visualize distributions in large data sets effectively which enable the user to quickly spot outliers and treat them appropriately
• Provides recommendation to merge datasets based on matching column values
• The cluster and edit feature in my opinion is its most powerful feature and reduces cardinality in column with text

• Centralized data storage, monitoring, and constant refreshes, as well as synchronization of global data are helping supply chain members reduce risk and secure stronger contracts.
• SAP empowers its users for successful data management by providing very easy-to-use tools which allow one to access, manipulate, and update a ton of data.
• SAP allows you to create data with having technical programming skills

Paxata is a much better tool when it comes to handling natural language but Talend provides recommendations on how to impute missing values and outliers. Paxata provides recommendations on dataset tie-ups and joins but Talend doesn't provide any such recommendations. In paxata you can visualize distribution of data in a column and filter them by dragging and selecting the section you'd like to retain

Our organization chose SAP Agile Data Preparation because of its brand name and the pricing. The software was feasible for the organization as it provides loads of feature as compared to other software's at a reasonable price. Additionally, SAP Agile Data Preparation is powered by SAP HANA so that is a prerequisite to data preparation freedom. Also, at the implementation stage the software was working really efficiently in terms of features, durability and performance.

• It saves time to clean data
