Securly Classroom vs. Securly Filter

As stated earlier it is very well suited to monitor computer use in the classroom and for virtual learning. The ability to send links to students who have trouble opening them is helpful, especially when students are home and don't have a teacher present to help. It is also helpful with its individual chat rooms where students can communicate privately with the teacher.

As I stated earlier, if you have iPads in a 1 to 1 usage, [Securly Filter] is your best filter. Students cannot break it or mess with any settings on a device that has an MDM setup.

• Delegated management is sometimes difficult to get working, requiring undocumented changes.
• Pricing has gone up for Chrome devices.
• Syncing is a manual process.

I don't like giving a 10 since everyone always has room for improvement, and while Securly is doing an awesome job, there is still room for improvement across the board.

Securly Filter integration with Google Workspace for education makes it an ideal pairing for K-12 institutions. It has a friendlier portal and more intuitive UI, particularly when retrieving activity logs. The policy customization is also far easier and responsive. That being said, it does not provide a full-fledged firewall like Untangle NG (nor many of the other useful features from NG, such as simple-to-deploy VPN).
