TestGrid vs. TestProject

We used to really love TestProject. It was easy to use, the interface was intuitive, and the customizations for test steps were great. Lately, though, in my experience, our agent has been dying, with no messaging, the support has been non-existent trying to help with these problems, and the installation was rough. I would have recommended this 6 months ago at a 9, but now, down to a two. If you can do everything yourself without support, if you have more visibility into the agent (ours is on a remote server) to see when it dies, and more, then you could use this product.

• Low barrier to entry for beginner test engineer due to scriptless nature of test case
• Proficient test engineer could utilize CI/CD Integration
• Both Browser & Mobile Device Infrastructure Available Natively

• Easy to use, test case creator
• Lots of plugins for more functionality

• Can be slow in instances where multiple scripts and requests are running on a webpage plus the docs can also be improved

• In my experience, TestProject agent has been flaky as of lately
• In my opinion, support has been almost non-existent

We frequently came across scenarios which were too cumbersome for manual testing & wanted an easy automation solution. We are now using TestGrid for those scenarios & are happy with the product.

• we were looking for a remote infrastructure provider so that our remote team could use it for automation as well as manual testing.

• When our automated tests work and run smoothly, we are able to keep an easy eye on our UI.
• The user interface is super easy, we can generate multiple test cases quickly.
