Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall (discontinued) vs. Trend Micro Web Security

Overall, Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall is a solid product for the cost. I have used their support several times and their support engineers are well rounded and very knowledgeable. They know the product inside and out. I have used other products in the past for security on endpoints, like Webroot, and will never go back after using Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall.

• Trend Micro Web Security helped us to protect our important data from being corrupt by viruses from internet.
• But in some cases Trend Micro Web Security is unable to detect virus or remove it.

• Light and does not take resources away from PCs and servers

Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall is lightweight and does not impact performance on a PC or server. It can be installed on both PC and Mac. I have used Webroot in the past and it had a significant impact on performance of PCs and servers. ESET does a good job for home use but I have not used it for business.

While comparing Trend Micro Web Security to Kaspersky, it is easy to use Trend Micro Web Security compared to Kaspersky. Trend micro seems to find and stop numerous more viruses including things that are not viruses and moreover Trend Micro is better at malware protection.

• I believe that is has already paid for itself protecting our network
• I have not came across anything negative or that has impacted the company in a negative way
