I think pricing makes a lot of difference when it comes to the common man and in turn it helps a person define and buy stuff. Samsung has a much higher price for its SSD and the Western Digital Elements has always kept in mind the pricing and this stands out a lot.

For use in both Windows and Mac OS, it was well suited by default. Other hardware doesn't really allow multi os file system access.

No support issues what-so-ever with Western Digital SSD. This product is so easy to use and configure that there have been no issues that required support other than individual research (online). This product is very stable also, even if dropped, functionality has never been compromised. In 2-3 years of usage, not one major issue at all has been experienced

  • It helps avoid maintaining 2 different hard disks for different os or performing migration always before formatting the file system type.
  • It helped to reduce cost of maintenance and double hardware procurement.
