Use Cases and Deployment Scope
My company operates in seven different countries. That’s why we need to access websites restricted in our area to ensure our products are correctly placed. Thankfully Clario provides an exceptional vpn tool that helps us change locations and open these unavailable websites. This vpn is great and has like a hundred or two of servers - unlike our previous vpn, you can select up to 10 servers in one location. What's even better is that the subscription covers two additional devices so I use it on my iPhone as well. The app is packed with more tools like ad-blocker that prevents site pop ups and displays the number of ads and trackers blocked. I have noticed that some websites now load faster as a result. The app also spots malicious sites as you search which I’ve found extremely helpful. I was about to follow a malicious link but Clario alerted me and saved me from doing that.

I use Clario to access platforms unavailable in my country. Our company uses them to place our products and we need vpn to access those links and Clario has it so it’s a great match. We have used another corporate app before but it has been costly and didn’t have so many servers available - so I’m actually happy we don’t need it anymore. What I really loved is cleaner browsing without ads - they no longer distract when you need to check something for business. I didn’t have enough time to get to know all the tools. I know there is an antivirus and a hacker check or something, but since I use Clario mostly for work, this isn’t really relevant to my daily work routine. Actually I guess it must be nice to have a separate business version with some specific file security features like shredder and different pricing.

Alternatives Considered
We used this app earlier for work. It’s a decent vpn and it’s also a fun one to use - with those jars of honey and a bear for hunting them. Overall it’s been nice but the cost of this app was the problem to be honest. With Clario I get the same vpn plus an ad blocker and safe browsing. These three apps separately would cost like 3 Clario subscriptions. No one wants to pay twice and that’s what I thought too. This was the main reason why I completely switched to Clario. I subscribed just for the VPN but then discovered it has other tools included so I stayed with them. Now this app is my go-to VPN and a default browser ad blocker. I noticed that Clario targets mostly regular users but for me it’s actually a solid business tool that I would definitely recommend for those tired of buying like 15 apps each month.

Exceptional Examples of Clario Anti Spy Support
I noticed some weird transactions on my credit card the other day. You know it’s a nightmare to even think you’ve been scammed and I didn’t really know what to do. So I chatted with Clario’s support service just to get any help, and you know what? They have guided me through every step from calling a bank hotline to changing my card limit to make sure this fraud doesn’t happen again. Simply outstanding service - they were so helpful and polite and they didn’t refuse to help even though it was 9 pm. Since then I’m their biggest fan and would absolutely recommend this service.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use my personal devices while working, so I wanted to be sure my personal data is kept private from the corporate. After doing some research, I chose Clario and installed it on my iPhone and MacBook. I mostly use the mobile version. It has a perfect ad blocker for Safari and checks the safety of links I click. I do tons of research for work and studies so it really comes in handy.
Pros and Cons
  • Clario extension for safari blocks most pop-ups and annoying ads on websites.
  • Clario shows a green or red checkmark next to each Safari search result, which signals whether the link is safe or not.
  • It's really easy to enable the VPN feature when I need to access other countries' search results, and to overall keep my data secured while using different Wi-Fi networks.
  • I like their impeccable support service. If I have any questions, they usually reply in the chat within a few seconds. I've talked to a few of their agents regarding different issues, and all of them were very friendly, helpful, and nice.
  • It's not often you come across such a smooth and pretty design. I like how the Clario mobile app looks and how it guides me through all of the steps to secure my device.
  • Clario doesn't send me a bunch of annoying notifications daily as many other apps tend to do. Almost all of their alerts are about the useful things I need to pay attention to keep my data secured. Which is lovely and helpful, and not at all annoying. I hate when apps send a bunch of unnecessary notifications.
  • Clario seems to constantly improve its app. I see it in the list of apps that are updated on my devices often. Which is a good sign for me. This means they're probably fixing or adding new stuff constantly. They also seem to be releasing new features once in a while, which I usually enjoy using, so I have no recommendations. The app does everything I need it to do.
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe it is best suited for people who work remotely, travel and change places they work from all the time. It's the case for me. I am aware of how many dangers connecting to so many different open networks with god knows what level of protection, and potentially exposing my data, can bring. I also need to go over hundreds of websites weekly to search for info and log in to so many systems that also have different levels of data protection. So for me, a digital nomad, a remote worker, a solution like Clario is among the essential set of tools I pay for monthly. I better pay for a solution like Clario now as a preventive tool than pay a much higher price to get out of potential data theft risks later :)

Alternatives Considered
My only experience with this kind of software is NordVPN. I used it several years ago on my old family computer. I chose Clario after a suggestion on Facebook because I like using the same app on my computer and phone. Also, Clario offers many other useful tools I need in addition to the VPN. I feel safer and more protected with them.

Exceptional Examples of Clario Anti Spy Support
I had a case when my credit card was used by some thief and I saw transactions happening in real time. Didn't know where to go, so I contacted Clario support. I don't think they had to help me, cause it's not a part of their feature set even, but they did anyway. Provided me with the plan of the next steps, and told me what I need to do to get my bank on the line and stop this madness with the card. And they were so polite. I felt like they cared for my successful resolution of this problem. After that case, I knew I'd continue using Clario for as long as I can.
