Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using SolarWinds for network monitoring, and it permits us to draw cartography that helps the IT team visualize the global architecture and the dependence of the links; it also shows the Wan interconnection that we are using internally, and we are also using the SAM module which permits us to control the health of our servers.

CatTools is utilized by our global network team to ensure reliable, easy to manage backups of our numerous network devices. Setup and administration is simple enough to hand off to interns or entry-level engineers given its straightforward GUI.

Setting up device backup schedules for individual locations is quick and easy. The application is very straightforward and basic. The application covers 90% of our needs. Some devices that require configuration and file backups utilizing ftp or other methods are configured using a different set of tools. Backups can be stored in configured destination folders for easy review.
