Overall Satisfaction with AlienVault USM
It is being used for threat management and log analsys. It replaced Tripwire which was quite complicated to set up and maintain. I was looking for a solution more aimed at an SME rather than large enterprises or organisations. We have a 25 node installation which is enough to cover those systems which are in scope for PCI DSS [compliance] and AlienVault supports this.

- I have limited knowledge of SIEM apps but AlienVault seems to blend the various components into a user-friendly tool.
I was looking for a solution more aimed at an SME rather than large enterprises or organisations and an application which covered PCI DSS requirements and was easy or easier to manage than our old solution. Having used Tripwire previously I am happy that AlienVault has ticked those boxes. It is more competitively priced also.
