We use these for traffic cabinets and connect the controller and cameras to the switch
Pros
- temp hardened
- SD card for ease of configuration
- multipurpose SFP can be used
- 12-24vdc power supply options
Cons
- have ping alive feature that auto reboots switch
- PoE monitoring
- easier command line would be nice
- smaller form factor of the switch
- warranty and support
- ruggedness
- smartnet services
- DNA for network monitoring
- initial cost is high
- the products last longer than previous suppliers products
- ability to use 3rd party SFP
