Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Dashboard

We use it for Network monitoring; firewall configs (vlans management , firewall policies, DHCP security ) Network troubleshooting. WiFi. We also use it for VoIP management through a concentrator.

Pros

  • Ease of setup
  • Cloud dashboard
  • Fail back when a connection gets changed

Cons

  • Sd-wan could be much better
  • Later 7 FW rules
  • Organizational wide search
  • It allows for easier management
  • You don’t have to be a Cisco expert to manage
It’s easy to use. It can be a little confusing for new users but overall it’s simple. I would like to see more control over sd-wan and more analytics.
Prisma is too complex sometimes, however you have complete control over what goes in and ou. Plus I can see traffic that is failing and can break it down by the hour over a 7 day period in order to find failures. I can also break down traffic to see what is hogging the network and at what time of day. I can’t do this kind of Meraki.
