Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio

IT financial planning & budgeting. Integrating ATP & eventually workday labor data. IT finance leader(s) using planning to budget and forecast. We are trying to document their processes and decide what we can use IBM Apptio to automate.

Pros

  • Multiple integrations
  • Clear dashboards
  • Organize data

Cons

  • TBM studio can be difficult to understand
It's a clean, simple look that makes it easy to figure out when you play around in it a few times.

  • Reduced variances
  • Improved relationships between departments
Very few interactions to date, but they are very helpful.
  • IBM Targetprocess
Better budgeting - helps us understand what we are actually spending vs budgeting for.

IBM Apptio is well suited for IT finance leaders to plan/forecast and budget as well as automate some monthly close tasks. Not well suited to replace accounting functions & software.
