Great tool to manage multi entity operation
Overall Satisfaction with Intuit Enterprise Suite
We have a parent company that has all of our shared service employees and expenses that we pay at the parent level for the 5 subsidiaries. We had 6 separate instances on QBO and it was very difficult to create consolidated reporting and inter office transactions. As the owner that inability to simplify data and projections was creating issues on how to budget and look at profitability for the 5 subsidiaries. Our accounting department was spending to much time on journals and allocating expenses from the parent company to the subsidiaries.
Pros
- Creating consolidated reports for P&L, expenses management, AR and Balance Sheet.
- Toggling between entities.
- Expense allocation to subsidiaries.
- Journal entries between entities.
- Interoffice expenses
Cons
- The reporting on the multi entity setting does not allow for creating custom reports
- Data on consolidated reports is not hyperlinked to dig into the details
- New AI features are not useable across the multi entity features yet.
- The speed and simplicity of creating consolidated reporting has saved me time and money.
- We have been able to mange cash flow through improved collection techniques across our company as a single unit.
- Using the consolidates expense by vendor has allowed me to manage expenses and find waste
