Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We selected Linode as our VPS provider because they were one of the first in the business to offer what we needed for a good price. We use their VPSs to host websites for our customers. They offer a good range of VPS so we can choose the right size for the customer.
  • Good value for money.
  • Great support if needed.
  • Good range of products.
  • A cheaper backup solution.
  • The smallest VPS with two cores instead of one.
  • An even cheaper VPS (but the current offering is already very good).
  • Linode helps me to get things setup quickly.
  • I can offer my customers free DNS.
  • When something happens service is restored quickly, happy customers.
I've always use Linode because they had the best offering and flexibility for the lowest price. I've looked at others, but none gave me a good reason to switch. Linode offers everything I need and it keeps improving. So while others are out there, Linode seems to me the best solution.
In the last 14 years I only had to contact support on a couple occasions and each time they responded quickly and the issue was resolved quickly. This is one of the reasons that kept me with Linode, I know I can trust them to do what is right and when something goes wrong it is fixed quickly.
Linode provides what I need and is very affordable. The good thing is that VPSs can scale easily both getting bigger and smaller, and we only pay for what we need. We can spin up an extra machine if the need arises and shut it down when we do not need it anymore.
Over the many years we have used Linode the uptime has almost been 100%, there have been a couple of times that a server needed to be rebooted but the downtime has been minimal. Linode does a great job of keeping everything running. Only when absolutely needed there may be a very short downtime.
Any hosted VPS solution running all kinds of Linux flavours. It is quick to set up a new VPS and have it running in very little time. I love the simplicity in which everything just works. It can be as small as you want to the biggest as needed. It just works.

Using Linode

1 - Currently only the system administrator uses Linode. Of course as our services run on Linode VPS it is used throughout the organisation, but it is not really known that this is Linode. And that is a good thing, because it works well and people can do the things they do best.
1 - Currently it is the systems administrator setting up the VPS and maintaining the operating systems, DNS, etc. The Linode community, support and library are great for when there are questions on how to do things best. But overall what we use at Linode just works and that is so great!

We are happy with the product, everything works as we want and we like to keep it that way. So there is no need to move anywhere else. We've been using Linode for many years now, I don't see us go. It provides everything we need for a good price.
