Overall Satisfaction with NetApp SnapCenter Backup Management

To take a file-level backup for a large VM will take more than 24 hours to complete the job. At the same scenario in NetApp SnapCenter Backup Management, it takes a couple of seconds to complete the job. While the backup tool works at the file level, NetApp SnapCenter Backup Management works at the storage volume block level, which accounts for its speed.

If the size of the VM is somewhere 10TB, the Commvault will take more than 24 hours to take a full file-level backup. At the same time, NetApp SnapCenter Backup Management will take a few seconds
