Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Portainer to manage my fleet of 3 Docker instances across my infrastructure. It helped me to roll out the Docker infrastructure when I was till new to the Tech stack. It simplified a complex environment and eased me into the technology. It made my learning experience much smoother.

The logs tat Portainer keeps assists greatly in debugging issues

Portainer abstracts the complexities. This can be frustrating as your competence in Docker rises and you require more granular control.

Portainer's GUI is excellent in making complex Docker management tasks more manageable. It does make the container learning curve much more accessible and thus saves time to market. The web interface makes it possible to access the toolset remotely in a consistent interface for all OS's. So, to some up, ease of use is the single biggest advantage.
