Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

It's being used across the whole organization as part of our self-managed data center to host our VM environment.

Pros

  • It hosts our virtual machines with great performance.
  • It's used for RDMs to attach to clustered VMs.
  • It's easy to manage and configure volumes, and connect to VM hosts and host groups.
  • De-dupe works very well and results in great space savings.

Cons

  • The ability to present CIFS/SMB storage is lacking, but I believe this is being addressed very soon.
  • It has proven to be very cost-effective, along with also providing for our needs.
Pure Storage's ease of use and performance makes it a great choice for a storage solution.
It only requires a small footprint in your data center, and its performance is great. I think it would suit companies of any size, as the product is very scalable.
