Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud ERP

We sell SAP Cloud ERP Private CDC.

Pros

  • Lightens the load for employees Basis and DBA
  • Makes SAP accountable for availability
  • If CDC, limits the amount of change to a customer's data strategy

Cons

  • On-site solutions require more customer visibility
  • BTP in the cloud, but Edge Integration Cell local, is confusing to clients
  • Using the word, "on premises" when you mean "perpetual license" is confusing to nearly everyone.
  • The future of Data Management is Hybrid--continuous innovation requires hybrid cloud inclusivity, not cloud lock-in
  • CDC has a lower TCO
  • Hyperscale Cloud TCO is significantly higher due to non-SAP dependent applications
SAP Cloud ERP must fit a customer's data management strategy in addition to SAP's data management strategy. If it does not, it has less usability.
  • Integration with Other Systems
Ability to integrate and co-exist with other non-SAP applications that are critical to our organization.
We use Zora AI and on-site private cloud AI in our business. We anticipate using Joule AI agents for SAP Data just like we use other vendor AI systems for their data. Our holistic AI solution will be maintained on site.

SAP Cloud ERP is a fantastic solution when customers fully understand the availability of hybrid (CDC)and on-site solutions (SCOS). Until SAP blurs the lines between CDC and SCOS, many customers will continue to refuse SAP Cloud ERP. Most often SAP Cloud ERP is refused due to the need for "air gapped" solutions which CDC and SCOS can offer if SAP will open up the operating models.
