Overall Satisfaction with Wiz

We are undergoing a proof of value/concept with Wiz and has offered us amazing value so far. Scope is to understand our Security posture across our heavy use of our Cloud environments.

Pros

  • Security Posture management - Understanding historic resources which need work
  • DSPM - Seeing different types of data classification and where these sticking points are in our environments which would need to be amended or investigated
  • External Exposure Management - Understand what we have what is publicly facing and the impact of these entities.

Cons

  • More services included in Issues for AWS such as AWS elemental for Mediaconnect and Medialive
  • Improved Security
  • Allow to see historic issues which were previously unknown
  • Wider collaboration with the business using the platform.
Very easy to use. UI is easy to follow. Only downsides is seeing IAM policies and linkage can require a few too many clicks in the GUI.

Wiz is well suited for analyzing security posture and understanding the scope of our cloud footprint and what needs looking at. This includes features such as DSPM, External Exposure management and the issues which helps us understand what needs fixing immediately and helps us prioritize. The only issue we've encountered so far is just wider coverage of Cloud specific services in AWS such as Elemental
