Overall Satisfaction with Wiz

We use Wiz to organize and assess our cloud environment for visibility and awareness as it pertains to security and compliance. It greatly simplifies the complexity of a vast company cloud space by collecting the majority of resources into a navigable format with critical information and enabling management of security actions on those resources.

Pros

  • Native dashboard visualizations
  • API integrations for code interactions
  • Agentless scans

Cons

  • Native type naming conventions sometimes being inconsistent
  • Paints a clearer picture about our security posture through dashboards which tells us what or where we need to start placing more emphasis.
The agentless approach makes integration much more palatable as it eliminates the logistical complication of agents. The relatively seamless process is not only convenient but also significantly cleaner to deal with on an ongoing basis.
The user interface and experience is intuitive even without much understanding of cloud, security, or Wiz concepts. It provides as much information as is desired within its scope, whether the user is only interested in surface level findings or wants to go deep into the makeup of various implementations within Wiz.

The visibility offered by Wiz to find and filter for resources through the graph query filters is very useful not only to locate a specific resource, but also to see similar or related items in a visual. Having a one stop shop to find nearly any detected resource and get the context around it reduces the headache of interacting with a large cloud environment.
