Paylocity provides 24/7 access to your online payroll and human resource data management. Paylocity offers highly customizable payroll functionality, as well as HR, benefits administration, and time and talent management programs.
Simply doesn't compare. User interface, reporting, time management. All outstanding vs the other product. ADP is nice but not as nice of a user interface and not as intuitive when learning or looking or things. Paylocity has a great user interface but they are not as …
Very similar platform and super easy to use. A lot comes down to ease of use and cost for my clients. With Paylocity, a lot of things are included where isolved charges extra. isolved and Paylocity are the only systems I recommend to clients and let them choose what will …
Each had similarities but our team was familiar with isolved because we had done a conversion 6 months previously so we elected to not switch platforms but selected a new partner. The new user interface in beta currently has a better look and feel.
The employee self service and ease of payroll processing were significant decision makers. We were transitioning from payroll being completed in house to isolved. The sales team did a fabulous job explaining the comprehensive implementation process and the implementation team …
Paylocity is much more user-friendly. isolved looks like it was made back in the early 90s, and they have not done a thing to update it since. Paylocity is easier to use in every way. With that being the last platform that I used and coming to learn and know Paylocity. It makes …
We used Paychex previously and I think Paylocity is much more robust and user friendly. We also had a lot of issues with Paychex support, they just never knew the answer! That does happen with Paylocity sometimes, but they are fairly quick to reach out to their team and find …
We use isolved before Paylocity. It was expensive and the customer service was increasingly frustrating to the point of TERRIBLE. We looked at Paychex, ADP and Paycom, but for the money we felt Paylocity was the best bet. We were right! I've never had customer service …
Paylocity is way above isolved. isolved is not intuitive and the customer service is lacking. I liked the demo for ADP but heard the customer service is not stellar. I did not select Paylocity, it was here when I started working here. I evaluated other platforms in a previous …
Paylocity was selected by a previous employee, just before I started working with my current employer. I believe that they were unfamiliar with many payroll products and selected Paylocity based on a demo that they viewed or attended. The best experience I have had was with isol…
Paylocity makes Quickbooks look like a dinosaur for payroll processing - and if you're thinking about switching (for payroll only), I would do it! I previously used isolved with a former employer, and their system is much more employer-hands-on, which I prefer. If you're …
We went with Paylocity because of the level of service they provided for a company of our size. Being mid-market, there aren't many options, but I feel confident with our decision for us and our employees moving forward as we continue to grow internally and within different …
Customer services is a big thing for us, and there is none like Paylocity's. It is always a pleasure to talk to any of them at any instance. How user-friendly the system is makes it more appealing to use. Their app is an extension of their web version, which helps when you are …
Paylocity had great service from our sales consultant to implantation and so on. During demos, Paylocity seemed to be the most user-friendly, visually appealing and had all of the features that we were looking for.
None of these had the robust platform that Paylocity has. Paylocity has taken everything people hate about payroll providers and turned the list on it's head by taking "no, we can't do that" into "yes, we can and we have several ways to get you there!" It's refreshing and, …
Isolved is great with payroll and payroll changes as well as onboarding. Our benefit open enrollment went well and for the most part was stress free, there were a few hiccups with our 3rd party supplemental insurances. Because of their complexity and they way they are processed through payroll there was a little confusion and things needed to be adjusted. But due to the flexibility of the system the issues didn't become big problems.
I've been a Paylocity user for the last 6 years therefore I am proficient at Paylocity. Paylocity has helped me recently get 3 policies per person (261 * 3) signed off on by using the workflows dashboard. I think they can improve how the workflows are set up on their homepage when they log into the app. So whereas its helped get the employees to sign on their own time, it also would make it easier if it was easier to find on the mobile app.
A way to email hiring managers and our IT department at the same time with a template would save us from so much email communication
Transfer all attached documents such as interview notes from iHired applicants to isolved employee documents would save us time uploading into multiple places
A candidate being able to save progress on their application is really a must as they can't leave and come back to their application without having to restart, i.e. if they need to get a phone number for a reference for example.
Could use more room in entering the job for internal notes.
Quirky when doing cut and paste of job details that leaves spaces that aren't in the document being pasted.
Due to the continued problems (time clock disconnects, regular post-update issues) and users' negative attitude, we are unlikely to renew. Another important factor is that TF is US-centric, so it does not account for local Philippine specifics, which is important to us.
We have had many issues with the way our platform was set up at implementation that still continue to plague us. In addition, our benefits, in particular our FSA, have been mis-managed causing a balance due from an employee (and also a lot of work for our accounting and HR team, as well as stress for the employee). Our service rep continues to answer incorrectly on many fronts (original response is usually check out this paylocity article, vs. helping) and recently our COBRA management was mishandled (not adding Dental to a person on Cobra who had requested it). So- all in all...we are not particularly happy w/ Paylocity
It is very intuitive and user friendly. iSolved is always updating and improving things before they even become a problem. I like how they inform us of the new updates and provide us with the details of what is changing and how it will improve the usuage.
Overall, in my experience, Paylocity has been easy to use for both staff and administrators. First, the staff has an application and inputting Paid Time Off is easy to do. I then get an alert on my app and I am able to approve it on the spot from my app that gives me access as an employee and an administrator without having to use multiple apps or logins. As an administrator I think the portal is easy to use, Paylocity did a great job showing me tools and rolling out training classes before rollout.
Payroll due dates and send to us at the beginning of the year, with email reminders for holidays. The support email address is fairly fast, within 24-48 hours. But if something is needed immediately, I can just call and they help me out right then.
Paylocity support is always available and I never have to wait endlessly on hold. If our dedicated account manage is not available, there is an entire team assigned to our account. Every one of them is knowledgeable about our organization and Paylocity's process.
We do not use the integration, so we have a csv file that I upload manually for payroll. That is our decision based on the software at our restaurants. Pages loaded fairly quickly, but reports to pdf lag about 15-20 seconds
Overall support is very helpful, but members of our team have expressed frustration with allegedly needing to provide the same pieces of information repeatedly because the person they're working with doesn't seem to understand the issue or is missing their meaning, etc
Everyone wants immediate assistance. Awaiting a response from an email only to ask 2-3 more questions is time consuming. Within the first six months of setup, I would rather respond back to the instructors who provided me the training in each category of my contract.
I didn't have in-person training, but I'm sure it was just as great as any other training/assistance Paylocity provides. Paylocity customer service is always available. You never have to be on hold and their answers are always accurate and timely. Documents in the help section are helpful as well.
We loved taking the course, we went through most of them before we went live and I believe that was very helpful. The online training helped us learn to navigate in the program. We still refer to the training and assign our managers and supervisors to it as well. I highly recommend using it. We have also been able to attend the Connect Conferences with are extremely valuable and we learn tips and tricks to help us better utilize our system.
The training was live online, but was with a group of other companies. We did not receive any personalized training with our team. Whenever we would ask for training, we would be sent a peak article link or a video. It felt like the reps we dealt with didn't know the answer to the questions.
The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.
I had gone through an implementation process of another HR platform (Paycom) in my previous job and was traumatized, it was painful. I was surprised how easy and fast it was with Paylocity, the team was very helpful and set us up for success
I went with iSolved because the people I spoke with were all quick to answer and very thorough in their responses. I knew they could help me build my setup the way I wanted it, and not just force me to work within some pre-set parameters once I had signed the contract.
We honestly had a program that only kept track of our Demographics, salaries, etc. then all of our Payroll was done on paper with paper leave slips etc. When I saw Paylocity, I was very excited about how easy it is/would be to use. [...] Our Paylocity rep that I spoke to was super GREAT in the explanation of Paylocity and I didn't even shop around much.
We are a company of about 135 people at 9 locations in 2 towns. We were able to set locations and departments, and also have each location seperate so only that manager can see their employees.
We started with approximately 100 employees and have grown to over 500. Paylocity is able to handle an organization's growth in terms of headcount as well as level of benefits offered.
