Likelihood to Recommend ShipperHQ is almost too heavy-handed for our use case. We are only a single-origin shipper so we don't need the advanced functionality of multi-origin or drop-shipping. It is suited much better for organizations that have multiple origins or that use drop-ship facilities, or even a company managing multiple different eCommerce websites. We opted to go with it because of its great reviews, combined with less than stellar reviews of the competition.

I do - and have - recommended them to other businesses. If they had taken care of the USPS pickup option and started supporting Rollo printers again I would have given them a 10. But a year with no resolution is unacceptable. Everything else about them is excellent. When I do have issues I'm usually able to contact someone via live chat and get it resolved. They are glitchy on occasion, but what piece of modern technology isn't.

Integration: It works so well I forget that it is a 3rd party solution sometimes. Automation: You can set nested rules based on order details, really cutting down on the little things that slow down your fulfillment process. Management: We almost never log into the admin side of BigCommerce thanks to ShipStation. ShipStation handles all of our day-to-day needs. Read full review Cons The user interface is a little tricky. It is not as easy to navigate as other shipping apps. I wish that ShipperHQ had the functionality to print shipping labels and manage shipments. For years users have requested UPS End of Day Report for Driver to Scan. Shipstation Refuses to offer this and it means that Claims with the carrier are next to impossible to process as there is no PROOF the carrier received your package. Customer Service is Seriously Lacking within the last 6-12 months. Repeated outages, problems, and their front-tier support has no insight as to how long the system will be down. Poor Response times for even the most basic of issues such as error logs so our cart can troubleshoot from their end. The Status Page is inaccurate. 5 of the last 6 times when we had major issues their status page shows as 100%. Not a reliable gauge of up-time. Usability I'm not giving a 10/10 because I did need a little hand-holding to get through the initial setup. Overall, it's not that difficult to use once you understand how to apply custom dimensional rules.

If you take some time to learn what all the options and features of ShipStation do, it will save you time, energy and headaches as the system works for domestic orders and international orders for export. You have the ability to adjust info that auto populates into the customs forms for exporting goods and ShipStation solidly integrates with
BigCommerce (outside of my previously disclosed web browser issue which could be the browser's fault)

I have quarterly calls with my account rep to discuss metrics and performance to ensure we are remaining consistent without fulfillment and transit times. He is super friendly and knowledgable. Whenever I have questions, if he can't answer them himself, he gets me in contact with the appropriate person almost immediately.
Read full review Alternatives Considered USPS only allows you to use their services (obviously). It was sluggish and often offline. The shipsaver insurance saves us money. We had to guess shipping costs for items instead of entering their weights and sizes ahead of time. It integrates with our e-commerce site. Glad we have it now.

We select ShipStation for our store and for clients' stores as an easy way to get accurate shipping rates for national orders.
ShipStation is easy to integrate into the Shopify and Big Commerce store platforms, free app, 1 click install, easy set-up and clients like the easy to use interface to do their shipping for accuracy. Read full review Return on Investment ShipperHQ is reliable and requires little to no maintenance, which for a small crew like ours is invaluable. ShipperHQ also offers the option to display either retail shipping rates or our discounted rates to our customers. This is handy because we can display those discounted rates, which results in higher conversion and fewer abandoned carts due to high shipping costs. It saves a lot of time being able to import the customer data. It saves us money by finding us the best rate (e.g. when we offer free shipping on orders). It can save data such as your most common box sizes. Read full review ScreenShots
