What is Arcus Cloud Management Platform?

The Arcus Cloud Management Platform is a solution designed to manage and govern cloud infrastructure assets across multiple cloud providers. According to the vendor, this platform enables businesses of various sizes to optimize costs, improve IT resiliency, and avoid vendor lock-in. Cloud architects, CIOs, IT managers, dev leads, IT operations managers, and infrastructure managers across different industries can use Arcus to streamline their cloud operations and enhance their overall efficiency.

Key Features

Monitor & Alert: According to the vendor, users can achieve operational efficiency by monitoring capacity and receiving timely alerts. They can ensure availability and performance across service levels, monitor cloud resource health, access logs, and backup jobs, and set up controls via policy setup for security. Additionally, users can monitor the cloud asset inventory register.

Build & Operate: Users can deploy and provision cloud assets across public cloud providers from a single console, create and manage core resources like server instances and storage volumes, configure network elements, IP addresses, and load balancers, and perform asset discovery and template-based provisioning. The vendor claims that users can also set up backup policies and automatic backup schedules, manage access via key pair configuration for security, and automate startup and shutdown scheduling.

Cost Optimization: The platform offers a single dashboard view to gain visibility and control over cloud spend. According to the vendor, users can optimize technology spend, streamline IT operations, and access a dashboard for spend analytics and budget tracking. They can receive spend alerts to stay within budget, obtain compliance reports on cloud assets, and access and activity logs for tracking configuration changes. The platform also allows users to generate custom reports for export and perform CloudFront (CDN) analysis.

Self-Service: The platform provides service catalogs to support self-service provisioning and resource approvals.

Automation: According to the vendor, users can automate processes to track cloud resource consumption and spend.

Cost-Control: The platform includes a cost management dashboard to monitor real-time resource consumption and provide metrics needed to contain costs.

Security & Compliance: Users can maintain compliance with internal security policies, industry mandates, standards, and regulations. The platform offers role-based access controls and encryption management, according to the vendor.
