What is United Manufacturing Hub?
United Manufacturing Hub is an open-source IIoT infrastructure platform created to connect, manage, and maintain manufacturing facilities. This platform is designed to cater to companies of all sizes, from small enterprises to large corporations. It is specifically tailored for professionals in industrial engineering, IT/OT engineering, enterprise architecture, manufacturing, and factory management across various industries.
Data Infrastructure: United Manufacturing Hub offers connectivity to the automation pyramid, integrating additional data sources beyond the typical automation pyramid. It establishes connections between all layers of the traditional automation pyramid and the Unified Namespace, enabling contextualization, storage, and processing of data. The platform also includes a Historian feature based on TimescaleDB for efficient storage and retrieval of historical data. Additionally, it provides Shopfloor KPIs and analytics capabilities powered by TimescaleDB and Grafana.
Device & Container Infrastructure: United Manufacturing Hub can be installed on edge devices, on-premise servers, and cloud infrastructure. Leveraging Kubernetes and Helm, the platform offers a solid foundation for container management. It supports automated provisioning starting from bare-metal systems, leveraging k3s and flatcar technologies.
