Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
I run a sales company that deals in the sporting goods industry. 97% of our business is Soccer and we are going into our 51st year. We run our company with Acumatica; Payables, Receivables, Ordering, Purchasing, Inventory. Everything we do is done with Acumatica. Our website is connected and so is our Shipping Software.
We started using Acumatica in 2019 and when 2020 rolled around and we lost several employees I was able to keep everything going due to the ease of being on the cloud. Before Acumatica we had been using a software that was not cloud based and one of the main reasons I started looking for new software was the ability to work anywhere in the world. And we did. We work mostly at home and 3 people did the job of 5 people. Warehouse work was done on site and we made it work.
It really was fortuitous that I decided to look at new software and found a great solution. I recommend Acumatica whenever anyone asks, I am very pleased with the Software and company.

- The ability for me to pull up customer orders and information on my laptop, tablet or phone is a huge advantage for me. Getting a call at 8am on a Saturday from somebody that spend 100K with you and being able to solve his issue in 5 minutes is important as a business owner.
- Reports. I really do not like to have to build reports and remember how to pull them up. It should not be that hard for the company to sit down with a user that knows what is needed in each category and build out the 20 or so reports that are a minimum requirement. Call me, I would be happy to lay out Inventory and sales reports.
- The ROI on software is not felt in the pocketbook, in my opinion. It's felt in the time saved, steam-lining your workload and the ability to not have to second guess the information in front of you.
- As a hands on owner that leads a sales team, I need to be able to do my work and not look over the shoulder, literally, of an employee. If I have an issue and need to check something I can pull it up on my device at any time and show the client that it was delivered, was correct as ordered or whatever the case may be and I don't have to worry that the data has not flowed through the system yet.... This is ROI for me - Time

Not really needed to meet industry-specific needs, it just meets my needs.
They do not stack up, I think AccountMate still sends out 3.5" floppies for their updates, when they do them.
