Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Local, we use it as a database for our people's team; we use it to take reports, which they can use much better for payroll, vacations, and time off. We also use it to manage the company's structure, direct reports, and historical changes in the organization's structure.

Usability

It's really intuitive. Employees usually don't have many questions about the usage. They can access it correctly and know where their information is, and that is basically about it. There's not much to it. This is one of the most remarkable things about bamboo.

Support Rating

I've contacted them many times. I should separate this into two different parts. On the one hand, Bamboo usually answers relatively fast. The hard part is that many times, they couldn't help me because they were out of bounds or could not handle the request, and in admin, you need to solve problems fast.

BambooHR Reporting

In this case, the reporting is one of the pain points, mainly the historical aspect; you should contact the payroll teams to get a more detailed view of this aspect because the reporting for the payroll team is crucial and, in my company, is not that good.

Alternatives Considered

Lever, Lattice and JazzHR

In our company, we use them together. My team uses Lever for talent acquisition duties. We also use Lattice for company employee review, and we used to use Jazz HR, but we do not use it anymore. Bamboo is for managing employees and payroll.

Bamboo is a good app overall; of course, the more you use it, the more you find the limit to the good things; in my case, I was my company's bamboo administrator for a year, and the onboarding was great, but the way the documents were handled was a pain point for me, for example.
