Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

Building up a startup raised the need for highly productive collaboration and project management tools. Besides agile development, where we need to handle our projects in sprints, there are entirely different projects that tackle more operative staff or are built for clients. Trying Wrike, Asana, and Jira before I can tell the difference by now. It's simply the extreme flexibility that ClickUp delivers. Now we can handle almost all concerns where some follow-up is needed through ClickUp. Nowadays, we cover managemental tasks as well as development, web design, maintenance, and graphic design. Really great thing, in the beginning, was the import tool that made the switch to ClickUp really easy.
  • I love the templates for the lists/boards and that you are able to save your own templates.
  • A clear USP to me is the flexibility how to customize lists.
  • The different views gives ClickUp even more flexibility.
  • Flexibility alone is not the game-changer. I would love to see more sophisticated templates that cover up functions like a sales pipeline or CRM.
  • Functionality to use ClickUp as a ticketing tool (issue-tracking system or helpdesk software).
  • Templates for the dashboard would be great to set up things even faster.
  • Integration of Adobe for sharing features to help with managers' or clients' reviews (like Asana).
  • Integration in Shift (https://tryshift.com).
  • Integration or similar function like Typed (https://typed.do).
  • ClickUp increased the productivity of our teams in a way that we saved time by being able to reduce physical meeting time.
  • ClickUp brought added value by being able to have 100% documentation of all client projects. This helped us to control resources better.
As we are using ClickUp in all departments, including freelancers and 3rd-parties, it changed the way how we used to collaborate. First of all, we saved time by using one tool (ClickUp) only instead of 2 to 3 different solutions. Our staff and also the management are scattered around the globe. Working with people from up to dozen different countries gives you some challenges, especially with the time zones. ClickUp helps us to gather all information on all projects in one place accessible 24/7, giving our employees more flexibility.
We haven't used automation for our tasks so far. But probably this is due to mainly the creative work that we do. Where it definitely helped to simplify things was to replace multiple solutions (Asana, Wrike, and Jira) that we had used simultaneously until the switch. On the integration part, I would like to highlight the Google features on which we heavily rely. Nevertheless, we would like to see more integrations like Adobe.
There were a lot of reasons why we decided to go for Clickup. It delivered the best value for money, giving us maximum flexibility in terms of customizing our task lists, easy onboarding, and enough guest seats. What made switching to ClickUp really easy was the great import feature, which let us import even old projects.

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

I can recommend using ClickUp for almost every kind of company. For us, running a digital agency makes perfect sense. We simply use ClickUp for all client projects, which helps us with the follow-up as well as keeping everything documented, including time tracking. In a purely developing environment dough, the Atlassian suite might still be ahead of ClickUp.
