Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox is being used to share files across multiple departments and locations. It allows us to set permissions on specific folders, files and also, it is very useful to request files for competitions, scholarships[,] and relevant application processes that require files to be submitted. Likewise, Dropbox is also used to provide video playback for viewers in some instances where the files uploaded have to be immediately playable online.
- File sharing
- Storage limits can be beneficial
- Timed file request feature
- Playback for videos can be choppy, this could be improved
- [The] ease of storing files outside of [the] user's dropbox could be improved
- More integrations with common software could be helpful
- Dropbox has solved multiple business problems
- It has allowed the organization to have a central source of documents in the cloud
- It has been cost-effective and flexible in terms of storage
Dropbox seemed to be broader and provided more storage than its counterparts. However, when compared with WeTransfer, the ability to send a very large file with a time limit would be nice, even if the recipient doesn't have Dropbox. The link feature helps, but by default, Dropbox wants you to add files to the recipient's account. This could be improved, but in terms of storage and sharing features, Dropbox was the strongest player and choice.
