Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF
We need to regularly check PDF layouts or proofread PDFs for our customers and were looking for a cheap alternative that offered features similar to Acrobat reader. Our clients did not complain about any issues so far.
- - Easy file conversion of multiple formats to one or several PDFs via conversion tool - Easy editing/annotation of PDFs - Good and Easy redact/blacken out tool
- - Language implementation: we get regular messages at startup that Austrian German locale has some issues, just because our PCs are based in Austria an run with Austrian settings but we installed German version. - some fonts appear black although they are not black but another colour overlay - settings (maximized window) do not correctly get saved
- regex search would be fine
- extract text found via (regex) search to file.
- Quite easy and userfriendly tools that easily compare to way more expensive alternatives. Definitely worth the 100 bucks we paid for the first copy.
Definitely easy to use. I had more issues with some other more expensive tools.
Acrobar Reader. More or less same functions but easier to use and way cheaper. We've been using Kofax and/or its predecessor Nuance for around 10 years now.
