Overall Satisfaction with OneNote
OneNote is being used sporadically throughout the organization. The sales team uses it to take notes during meetings. I specifically have different notebooks for different items. In my Work notebook I keep notes for internal meetings and create "To-Do" items which show up as tasks in outlook. I love that the two can interface very well and I know what my task list is even when I'm not in OneNote.
- Record Meetings
- Save annotations with notes or use a pen on a touchscreen laptop
- The web clipper piece is great for screenshots and showing exactly what you were looking at or getting pictures to add to the notes.
- I would like to see it integrate with other products like Excel better.
- The recording is tough to find unless you know exactly where it is. It would be nice to have it more accessible.
- When writing with a pen on a tablet, the touch options need to be easier to navigate. Sometimes it's difficult to erase while you are trying to write notes while in the middle of a meeting.
- Our sales team has become more effective and has kept great records of the meetings we attend.
- The sales teams leave the meetings with better action items that help convert prospects into customers.
- Better Hand-off from sales to service. Because we take more notes and have better information our service delivery has increased.
I used Evernote for a little while, but found it to be a little less organized than OneNote. I use notebooks for different compartments. For example I am in involved in a speaking organization of which I am a club secretary, so taking meeting minutes is imperative to that role. Being able to take the minutes and then email them directly to the team right after the meeting helped with efficiency. Evernote made it a little more cumbersome to break up the notes and separate different items.
