Overall Satisfaction with ThousandEyes

In our organization ThousandEyes is used to monitor network health in and out of our organization's environment. We use it to track network health to and from major routes on the internet and monitor network health in areas where many of our remote users live. This gives us the ability to pinpoint network pitfalls and provide RCA's when issues arise that relate to connectivity.
  • Monitors network health in and out of our organizations environment.
  • Helps monitor major SaaS applications' uptime
  • Provides outage analysis
  • ThousandEyes can improve on their user dashboard by adding more features
  • Sometimes provides too much information
  • Provide step by step action items to resolve or workaround issues
  • Real time visibility about network health can prepare us for outages
  • Less time wasted troubleshooting end user network issues when ThousandEyes can give clarity which saves time doing extra work
  • Before doing business with a SaaS product we can use ThousandEyes to give historical datat on network uptime.
ThousandEyes compared to Datadog provides so much information. Sometimes a little bit too much information but against its competitors ThousandEyes is very easy to setup for teams that are small or lack the skillset in doing so. This is a product that comes ready to use out of the box and can be trained on very easily where as a product like Datadog can be harder to setup and read data.

ThousandEyes is well suited for any organization wanting to gain visibility on their company's network and major routes to other SaaS products being used by them. Lets say heavily uses a cloud based ERP system. ThousandEyes will provide real time visibility and alerting if there are known outages and provide alerts to the business which can be passed down to the user base to alert them of the outage. Also IT teams can monitor network outages and inspect network routes to validate any issues end users are reporting.
