Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
We use Veeam to backup all our virtual servers to a NAS located in another building away from our ESXi hosts. It backs up main servers daily, while non-mission critical servers are backed up once a week.
- Incremental backups of VM's
- Easily restore files/backups
- Easy to use, good tech support if you need to call with an issue
- Backing up physical devices can be done but not as easily.
- Annual renewal pricing is not bad but still annoying for just minor updates. Prefer just to purchase once and be done with it.
- Great peace of mind to know essential systems are backed up
- Much lower cost than other options
We have not used any cloud platforms, just local NAS at a different building and physical ESXi hosts for VMware.
We verified backups, did not try sandbox testing. Anytime I had to actually restore files/data it worked flawlessly.
Veeam works the best if you are backing up virtual machines. Especially with VMware.
