Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
Zoom is being used by the particular division that I support. I am currently working with users and other members of IT outside my Division that are interested in leveraging the Zoom products. I am excited to share with them this as an option as Skype for Business is the current option, but it's got many challenges and is cumbersome. The ease of use, and that it always just works, is its strongest feature
- Screen sharing is a great feature. there is very rarely a delay in the connecting to share out to the connected team. It's also great from an IT perspective, as I can easily set up a meeting to do remote troubleshooting and incorporate computer control requests to help fix the issue for my customers.
- The video feed is clear and crisp, which makes for doing larger town halls just that much nicer.
- The cloud recording access and sharing are easy to use. As the sharer of these recordings, they have made this very simple.
- The incorporation of our current cafe mic and sound systems is also cleanly integrated.
- Within the desktop application, I would like to have the ability to control all settings without having to navigate to the web portal.
- We're looking forward to the upcoming applause features, as that will help with cutting down chats for large meetings.
- We've seen a confidence increase for IT from our End Users. They asked for this to be implemented and we were able to provide this for them.
- We are across 3 different time zones, so the collaboration without needing to fly people constantly has provided less strain on the end-users.
- My division's use of the tool, and having invited members of other divisions, has lead to curiosity as to how to begin using it in their environment.
We have one Zoom room, and it has made setting up for all hands at this location very easy and streamlined. We would love to add to our other large meeting spaces, but due the current need for a PC to run the Zoom Room, that has not been possible. With the new hardware that is being introduced, we may have more opportunities to expand to these other locations.
- Webex Meetings and Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
Compared to these other products, Zoom has greater ease of use, and easier connection for our end users. Faster set up, with minimal to no hiccups. We have had user acceptance at a much more successful rate and customer satisfaction has been positive. I look forward to trying to get this in the hands of my colleagues to share across the organization, as I feel it would go a long way to overall customer success. I think that with some of the other products that I have seen over the last 2 days there is a great value add for my organization, and would also help to empower our end users when it comes to meeting set up making freeing up the IT team from all the meeting support. I think that it would also help give the IT team some time back for meeting set up, as at this moment we are often allocating 30 minutes at the start of every meeting for setup and troubleshooting.
