ADP GlobalView Payroll vs. Safeguard Global

ADP GlobalView Payroll is well suited if we want to process payroll for multiple employees at once. It helps in calculation of hourly compensation for employees having different payrate. It also helps in auto run of payroll at regular intervals. There is still a scope of improvement for contractor payment in different currencies.

The onboarding was not very straightforward and we had to go back and forth many times even though it was just one standard work contract. The payroll management overall was OK despite a few billing issues. Closing the contract did not go well, with conflicting emails from different departments who could not answer basic questions such as providing a statement of account and detail the closing dues minus the deposit (they forgot to tell us about some dues for the 13th month which is a basic requirement in Germany).

• Easy and convenient way to retrieve historical payroll details
• Shows payroll details a day before the actual payout
• UI is great and intuitive.
• Credentials are integrated to Active Directory

The tool is very intuitive and users can find all the information required and plan their pay structure. The navigation on the webpage is seamless and response time is decent. The overall experience of the platform is amazing

Have not experience or noticed that the ADP GlobalView has an outage, so I can say that support has been good on making the tool highly available.

I've had several queries when using Safeguard, every time response times were slow and at times they have been incorrect. The comms are disjointed, it feels level 1 support are not equipped to deal with basic questions and there's not really an escalation path fit for purpose. The answers come out either tone-deaf or administrative.

ADP GlobalView Payroll is clearly the industry leader in this space, as it easily integrates with our internal AD systems and allows our employees to access their accounts 24-7, 365.

It was the cheapest at the time and to be honest we were not impressed with other players except Remote and Papa but they were way more expensive.

• Positive: Centralized Cloud-based system that can be accessed 24-7.
• Negative: Customer support is always shifted back to your company's HR.
• Positive: Great for ad-hoc retrieval of compensation records.

• Allowed us to hire a German employee but at a fairly high cost
• Lack of customer centricity and a really heavy handed approach to customer service.
• Really poor client communications.
• Some basic processes were not performed adequately.
