Apps/software like AnyShare helps big organizations to meet their goal of centralized data storage/management/ease accessibility. Small organizations/ groups who can not afford its cost can try other cheaper/free options available in the market.

The service in general is great because on the backend. IBM offers experience and knowledge in the use of data center technologies undeniably.
I recommend it for almost any situation but particularly for databases and especially large ones. That possibility of adjusting IOPS dynamically to levels that other data centers do not offer makes it unique. I don't recommend using the service if you don't have an infrastructure expert who knows about servers, Linux, and storage because a lot of the configuration and settings require an expert hand.

  • The documentation must be clearer and updated, thinking about each distribution that they offer in the cloud
  • Downtime when IOPS are raised can be less
  • The configuration can be more automated from the same control panel and not have to take it so much to the CLI
