ProcessPro, from Aptean vs. Intuit Enterprise Suite

If you run a simple small retail or contracting business with less than five employees, Intuit Enterprise Suite is more than capable of taking good care of your business with relatively advanced features. However, for anything other than that (specifically construction), you'll find Intuit Enterprise Suite to lack the basic functionality that you need to run your business. More than that, in my opinion, the experience will be fraught with bugs, have poor performance, and bombard you with misleading or downright incorrect AI statistics.

• They have the best support. Quickbooks has always had great support but have step it up a level for help with Intuit Enterprise Suite. They are always there to help by phone, chat, appointment. The people we talked know the system and how to help.
• They have been working hard to make this a great accounting system for Construction as they can. They have gone a long ways to help us to have one system instead of numerous different systems.
• Intuit Enterprise Suite makes it easier to have several companies under one roof. We quite often have journal entries to post between two or more of the companies. We can make the entries in one place.
• All in all we have been very happy switching to Intuit Enterprise Suite, so much so that we renewed for three years. We believe in what Intuit is doing with Enterprise Suites and they know how to create a great product.

• Buggy user interface
• More flexibility with reports
• Some tax tracking (WA workers comp) has major issues
• Migration left out important payroll information, causing erroneous tax reports to be sent to government agencies (automatically by IES)
• AI bill import has issues with certain fields like item category and custom fields
• Progress billing UI is not good
• No intuitive way to create a project from anywhere else other than projects page
• Estimates to invoice UI is rough
• Shoving lending options down users' throats is not very great
• Approval workflows could be built out better
• Issues with deleting COA items that were attached to payroll but are no longer cannot be made inactive by users
• UI unpolished, like expenses -> spend insights shows [vendor name]
• : 59833.85000000002 obviously no reason for this many decimal places and also no dollar sign for some reason
• AI forecasted cashflow is optimistic - thinks all these old invoices will paid up next month
• "Business Feed" is almost useless (for it to be the first thing one sees after login) - keeps really wanting to show me the vendor cleanup report for some reason. No way to dismiss
• Cannot download invoices unless I open the invoice. Can print though
• If I paste invoice (or bill) data from Excel (using the UI for this exact thing), but the Spreadsheet has currency formatting like $12,024.44, IES is unable to parse
• Not much room to customize forms if you want fully-featured forms (Modern template)
• No user-specific template defaults
• Bill payments that pay many bills have missing bills on the payment stub. No way to print a separate document showing the rest of the bills being paid
• No way to preview remittance advice email or document

The software is very user friendly and being able to create reports with specific data and export it to Excel is a great help in budgeting for annual costs and tracking where a certain program is getting more attention

Based on my experience with its features and what it lacks, I think this is a fair rating. It also misses something important: customizable automation and process customization. It also needs more on reporting, especially customer reports and dashboards. But other than that, it is user-friendly, easy to use, and does the job.

Excellent. I am the first Lighthouse customer and I see first hand that their team cares, they care about not just the features but about their customers and their success. They truly want their customers to succeed

We have typically been strong supporter of Quickbooks products and have been customers for almost 30 years. We chose IES because our server needed to be replaced, and cloud-based option sounded modern and functional. We also believed staying with QuickBooks would make the transition easier. In hindsight, we probably should have evaluated other options more thoroughly before making the move

• I do not believe I have had a return on investment. It has cost me more money and works worse. In many cases, it has caused me to spend a tremendous amount of extra time trying to navigate a choppy system.
