AWS Amplify vs. Kodika

If you want to stick to common AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cloudfront, Appsync (Graphql) then this is your wheelhouse. When you start to bring in other services life gets more difficult.

Gen 1 usability is great and flexible also easy to stay in the Free realm. Gen 2 more restrictive and to be really usable you have to pay for features.

Serverless is more datacenter agnostic which in general is nice, but we were happy to specialize in just AWs.
