Bitdefender Managed Detection and Response (MDR) vs. SentinelOne Vigilance

Great for small businesses where budget is likely to be more of a constraint. It’s perfect for companies without a big or technical security team. Simple use and minimal requirement to changes defaults is ideal for the majority of busy people who need out of the box protection

• False positive reporting and resolution speed
• More built in default exclusions for standard items such as virtual machine files

• [SentinelOne] Vigilance notes are captured in each event which is near impossible to review with low staff. Better reporting on activities would help demonstrate better the activity ongoing
• Ability to extract notes and incidents to our SIEM would be great
• A customer success manager would be a nice addition

It does have a bit of a learning curve when it comes to usability, but once you become comfortable with the filters and how things are organized and the actions that can be taken then it becomes a really powerful tool, it just takes time to learn how it is best utilized or how it may best fit in your workflow.

Its performance is comparable to quite a few others based on what we’ve seen. The price and simplicity does play a bit part of why it’s idea for a lot of businesses

SentinelOne Vigilance was as good or better than each of the products we also have used in this product range. We chose SentinelOne Vigilance for many of our clients based on the supported integrations with our other toolsets.
