Symantec Email Threat Detection and Response vs. Forcepoint Email Security

I have had a suitation where the company domain was being blasted by tons of spam emails and the Symantec Email Threat Detection stood to the test and block all these harmful email from entering our users mailbox, for a less appropriate scenario would be the frequency of the false positives that are reported that I have to train the tool how to allow these traffic to pass.

Forcepoint Email Security is perfect for set and forget. Very little do I need to get in and that's to tailor a policy there are minimal issues I have encountered since using the product.

• Adding malicious sources taking time
• Reporting function is very basic
• Symantec ATP has no integration with Symantec ETDAD.

Symantec Email Threat Detection and Response is a treadsetter, it has great features and works well overall

The support could be better, but the good thing is rarely having to call them.

We are making a migration from Symantec to SentinelOne in the near future for easier deployment, better EDR and management functionality.

Since Forcepoint is used widely in our organization, the integration between DLP web and Mail is amazing, and I didn’t find a good reason to split services between vendors if I have all the package in one place

• Integration with ETDAD will make Symantec ATP more powerful for future AD threats
• Implemeting Symantec ATP was easy and took little time

• Even though Forcepoint solution is targeted high in terms of price, the added value it provides to an organization by securing their system in web and mail is tremendous
