Broadcom ValueOps vs. Planview Viz

Great software for visibility, managing software flows, prioritization and general management of integrated solutions. They provide enough insight tailored to specific levels of management or end users inside the company. The cost were lowered by 20% from faster and better overviews on current tasks, logistics and implementations.

Viz is very well suited to organizations that have a level of commitment to a product mindset. It will be less effective in situations where big silos exist between business and technology.

• As I am still learning the tool, it seems overly complex and non intuitive to me
• Doesn't allow inclusion of colors (i.e. for story types) to be brought over from Rally
• Error messages appear to be obscure at times

Much more advanced and customizable than iterations of the above tools I've used. But more focused on Flow metrics than others. And more complex, IMO.
