Improve business agility with Planview Viz

Planview Viz is helping [...] shift from a project to product mentality by shifting from projects into product value streams, as well as embedment of the flow methodology across the Enterprise. We want a standardised and consistent way to measuring teams around velocity and performance, and Planview Viz is the chosen strategic tool for gathering flow metrics and insights which will help teams move faster through identification of bottlenecks and areas of improvement.

The metrics we have utilised include:-
- Flow distribution - ie 54% defects - what is the defect rate 54% for a product
- neglected wip
- no risk or debt work being tracked
- flow efficiency is 87% - are the waiting status mapped in JIRA and are the teams using them effectively
- flow time 11 days - is the team actually completing tasks in their PVS within 11 days or is this scrum bias

It has helped the crews improve their business agility and market response by working out how many teams are overloaded, when will teams have capacity for new work, as well as experiencing delays due to high load. Tracking lead time and flow time has been an important metric for the leadership teams to track.
It has also helped us measure our shift from project to product through tracking business results and timeline events.
