busybusy vs. SharpeSoft Estimator

BusyBusy is well suited for organizations with multiple off site job locations which require tracking. Due to it's ability to setup a high volume of work locations as well as bread crumb tracking between home office and job site, I think it is best suited for the service industry including construction, plumbing, landscaping etc. It is less appropriate for organization with single office on site work

SharpeSoft [is] designed to be a day-to-day hard-bid estimating program. It is easy to learn and use, yet very powerful. I would not recommend this product to hourly service providers.

• Handles complex bid formats and bid submittal structures such as using bid alternates and non-tax bid schedules.
• This software is one of the easiest programs to learn and effectively use.
• This software is reasonably priced, but very powerful.
• Project support is timely, intimate, local and professional.

• the scheduling feature has room for improvement - the views are not condensed and cannot be viewed by all employee groups
• during the time card review process - instead of a description - it would be nice to have a reason section when changing a time card
• the geo fences around projects - I wish they could be linear

• They need to put a search bar in the item master list so you can easily find work items.
• They could make the alternate package easier to use.
• The should find a way to allow the user to define at least one cost type in the program.

There are some upgrades and features that don’t work without a full delete (app) and reinstall and some users don’t remember their login details. Admin time spent. As well there are some edits that could be beneficial

the switch feature and easy of use for the field employees, who are not all tech savvy, is why we chose busy busy. Other softwares only used a stop/go feature which we thought could be very confusing for employees who are just switching cost codes between jobs. Also integration was cleaner on busy busy

I think SharpeSoft is the best estimating product on the market for our type of work. It is reasonably priced and is very reliable. We have had very few problems with the software and the upgrades and support staff and reliable.

• Less time entering payroll
• More accurate job details
• Less time spent on collecting time cards
• Detailed project reports as completed
