Cengage WebAssign vs. Scholarship Manager from Next Gen Web Solutions

Cengage WebAssign is similar to other online textbook softwares I've used while teaching accounting online. It's a stable platform and seems easy for students to use, even if they are not extremely computer savvy.

While the tools given and access to data is simple, the overall functionality of the tool is lacking some basic features. Scholarship Manager from Next Gen Web Solutions provides a place to add users for share donor engagement and scholarship review process. However, having more editing, print, and save functions are handy. An annoying feature is when reviewing scholarships, you have to scroll and scour full lists of recipients to completely confirm them for a scholarship. We found this a chore when sharing review duties broken down to cover specific alphabetic quadrants.

I think all of these softwares are fairly similar in set up and ease of use. I am provided Cengage WebAssign with my pre-built SNHU courses.

• Easy to utilize across departments
• Ability to keep our scholarships organized and process and approval flowing
• Delays in donor reports due to long technical issues at times from the company
