It was built in the cloud, for the cloud, and handles on-premise environments very well. If your environment is lots of physical servers or lots of database servers, maybe start with a slower rollout of Clumio, but do not go with something else. Alternatives Considered	No answers on this topic	There was nothing like Clumio to evaluate. We did look at some of the incumbent on-premise solutions that have cloud-based offerings. They all require hardware infrastructures to accomplish their job, thereby locking you into having to manage and update hardware. Clumio displaces these systems by offering a true cloud-based backup with no need to manage hardware, or maintain hardware, or manage software upgrades.
