If the paid option is the way to go their competitors might have a leg up with ease of use and upgradability. Regardless I highly recommending trying their software. Alternatives Considered	tribe29 Checkmk free version is far superior to PRTG free version. For the paid versions PRTG was more efficient and easier to use. Checkmk provides unlimited services on their free version while PRTG is limited. We like to use the free version to avoid monthly or annual costs while still utilizing the same SNMP features. In our line of business, speed is everything. Customers hate to be slowed down so having the appropriate network connections is a must. Anomaly Detection with the threshold based alerting has made our network team more proactive in stopping things before they can really affect the company.
