Cisco TrustSec vs. Zscaler Zero Trust Cloud

• Control access to critical enterprise resources by business role, device type, and location, so policy changes can be made without redesigning the network.
• Easily manage access control and segmentation while maintaining compliance.
• Create and manage policies in an easy-to-use matrix.
• Reduce the need for costly network re-architecture by automating firewall rules and access control list (ACL) administration.

Zscaler Zero Trust Cloud is especially useful for connecting to remote devices worldwide. Zscaler policies block unwanted use of device access. Policies suit individual, group, and organizational settings. One thing Zscaler must improve is AI access and AI sessions. Policies for sessions would be much appreciated.

• Reduce operational expenses by simplifying network segmentation and defining security groups based on business roles, not IP addresses.
• Limit the impact of a data breach by quickly isolating and containing threats using technology already in your network.

Overall, I like Zscaler Zero Trust Cloud as it provides a very good user experience both on the Ui and functional level, it is not complicated for beginners as well. After switching from Citrix to Zscaler, the login process has been simplified and less time-consuming.

Overall performance is great; the network is solid, as we haven't experienced any outages or issues, but I still see room for improvement, such as migrating cloud connector deployments to gateways/endpoints. Also, connectivity to the Zscaler network/backend should use a more reliable connection than IPsec.

The most important reason was time consumption, actually more important reason was I think it was discontinued, but after using Zscaler, accessing got really seamless, earlier it was quite hectic, I remember wiating 5-10mins to be able to access to remote resources
