Cloudflare Access vs. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR

I wanted to securely connect to my servers without getting tracked by malicious attackers, even though I was on public Wi-Fi. Security was my top priority, and I also wanted a setup that was easy and quick to start and provided great network performance. Cloudflare's Zero trust matches my criteria for becoming my first choice.

I mean, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR is best in class. If you want the absolute best and can afford it, it's the way to go. The sales team and CSMs are great and will promise you the world, and if you have the time and knowledge to set things up, they deliver. Sometimes, though, what they say and the actual reality differ a bit. Example: we were told that CrowdStrike Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR will set everything up for us and assist us with configuring alerting and workflows. When it came time to do so, support told us that they can't set up workflows because they didn't know our system and can't be held responsible for missed triggers and alerts. Eventually, they did help, but only after we had set things up and they helped us tweak them.

• Block access to known bad, risky, or unwanted destinations at the DNS or HTTP level.

• Cloudflare still need to improve CASB direction to complete set of SASE tools.
• More integrations with the third-party agents to check device posture in the Zero Trust framework.
• More granularity in firewall rules for full replacement of on-premise solutions.

Within a few hours, new engineers are trained in basic tasks and are quite happy they are able to resolve issues independently. After SSO is configured, onboarding is as simple as signing into m365 via a web browser popup.

Over all the usability of this service is great with good response from the complete team when something happens or indeed when we have questions. The reporting and telemetry from the system is useful and very helpful when carrying out our own investigations or indeed when identifying areas for improvement. Since we have taken on this service we have also added newer functionality it has become a clear extension to our small security team.

Good chat support from the portal for basic questions and minor issues. The enterprise support line is provided as well.

Cloudflare was both the most feature-rich and cost-effective of comparisons. Presales engagement understood our challenges and was keen to solve them.

Symantec just wasn't as polished or feature rich as CrowdStrike Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR. For a Next-Gen MDR, there is really only one option.

• The cost of Cloudflare Zero trust is much lower, hence reducing spending on infrastructure security.
• The Network performance is improved thanks to Warp protocol.
• Requires less maintenance and hence saves time.

• No training requirements for IT staff to manage the product, white glove service
