Cons
CloudLIMS
  • See i have not two vast expertise on that because i have use this since last couple of years. So i could not say so much about it. But i will share some issues which i faced recently
  • During implementation we are trying to merge this with sap. So idoc is not functioning in correct manner. Sometimes it will not able to trace the received idoc.
  • During creation of sublots for sap sometimes batches are splitting with the given direction. So we need to do this manually in sap
  • The updation time is quite high about 20 mins it should be definitely reduced

IGOR - Your Personal Lab Assistant Screenshots

Screenshot of Electronic Lab Notebook
An experiment entry for an immunofluorescence study captured in IGOR's Electronic Lab Notebook. The ELN allows scientists to document their work using a rich text editor with table sections that support formulas and Excel imports, image galleries with annotation support, and file attachments for virtually any data type - all linked to relevant SOPs or templates within a single record. The ELN also integrates directly with the Inventory module, so scientists can track which samples and reagents were used in an experiment and how they connect to other samples or experiments in the system. Every entry is backed by full version control and a detailed audit trail, with 21 CFR Part 11-compliant digital signatures, witness records, and configurable approval workflows built in.Screenshot of Inventory: Storage Location Map View
IGOR lets teams build a digital representation of their entire lab storage setup - from rooms and freezers down to individual box positions - fully customizable to match any physical layout. Color-coded map views make it easy to see at a glance which positions are occupied, empty, or flagged, and what the status of each sample is. Scientists can search for items within any specific location, check availability, and pinpoint exactly where a sample lives without walking to the freezer or flipping through handwritten logs.Screenshot of Inventory: Sample History
Every inventory item in IGOR carries a complete, timestamped history of everything that's happened to it - from initial registration with full metadata, through relationship changes, storage location moves, and consumption in experiments. Each event records who made the change, when, and exactly what was modified, giving scientists a single place to reconstruct a sample's full story without chasing down paper logs or asking colleagues. Whether it's troubleshooting unexpected results, answering auditor questions, or verifying that proper handling procedures were followed, the full chain of events is always just a click away.Screenshot of Inventory: Sample Relationship Tracking
IGOR's Inventory module automatically maps parent-child relationships between samples, giving scientists a visual lineage graph that traces how any item in the system - cell lines, plasmids, reagents, derived products - connects back to its origin. This makes it easy to answer questions like "where did this sample come from," "what was derived from it," and "which experiments used it," without piecing together information from spreadsheets or freezer logs. Full chain-of-custody documentation is built in, supporting both day-to-day lab decision-making and regulatory traceability requirements.Screenshot of Team Workspace Dashboard
Each workspace in IGOR has its own dashboard where admins can see every team member at a glance - their role, access level, and join date. IGOR supports granular permission controls with Member, Admin, and Guest access levels, so teams can bring in external collaborators with read-only access without compromising data control. Admins can view any member's lab notebook or adjust their permissions directly from the dashboard, and a centralized Manage Members panel makes it easy to add, remove, or reconfigure access as teams evolve.Screenshot of Project Manager: Gantt Chart View
IGOR's built-in Project Manager allows teams to plan research programs, assign tasks, set priorities, define dependencies between activities, and track progress on a visual Gantt timeline within the same platform where experiments are documented and samples are managed. Scientists can link experiments and notebook entries directly to project tasks, connecting the plan to the actual work. Milestones mark key decision points, and color-coded bars give an at-a-glance view of what's completed, in progress, or upcoming.
