Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) vs. StormShield Endpoint Security

It seems to be one of the best AV products that I have used. One issue that I have is with billing/invoicing and how the licenses are issued.

It is a very good device to use on a small and medium size company (0-400 users). However I wouldn't use it for very big companies.

• Mitigates exposure to unwanted files and malware.
• Ease of Use and Management.
• Administrator control unlike standard antivirus purchased in the consumer/small business market.

• Easy to manage on a daily basis
• It goes very deep into analyzing the trafic and the configuration is very thin.
• The first configuration is not so complex

• Stability, they could grow when it comes to updates to the client. There always seems to be complications.
• Locking of systems. In the event of trouble, systems lock down so far that the administrator has to drive to the location where device is located, uninstall and reinstall.

• Not everything is possible on the web administration page. We need to use the ssh console to do many things.
• The logs viewer is not as helpful as on other brands (like ASTARO, SOPHOS,...)

I was using a platform called Barkly which seemed to work well at the time. I ran a ransomware simulation against Barkly and it did not perform as well as anticipated. I began searching for another AV platform, found Comodo and decided to run the same ransomware test. Comodo [Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP)] performed much better and was more effective at stopping the simulated ransomware.

• It does the job very well once it is correctly configured. By that I mean, it is functioning with the least waste of time and effort for network administrators.
• If needed the support is efficient.
