Connecteam vs. Staffbase

Connecteam is great for distributed teams; the messaging feature is good for DMs and group messaging. Sending updates to relevant staff groups is very easy with Connecteam. Furthermore, having required acknowledgements on updates is paramount for compliance and ensuring all employees have received and understood new information that was sent to the team

Staffbase is well-suited for companies who want to drive and measure employee engagement through meaningful content. I wouldn't recommend it for companies that maintain a complex SharePoint environment with years of legacy content. It is not intended to be a CMS system. It is a dynamic platform that makes it's easy to share information through the mobile or desktop app and email and push notifications. You don't need a large team to manage it.

• Daily team productivity with time clock feature
• Easy of running weekly payroll reports
• Employees to manage and own their time before being approved for payroll
• Easy to add absences and PTO
• Free until you need more than 10 users
• It is great that you can tell where your employees are logging in from ie the office, home or in the field

• Easy to use back-end for posting and managing content—you don't have to rely on IT for support.
• Software update releases are included in the licensing fees. No need to get outside developers involved in making changes to the platform.
• Employee segmentation is extremely easy with an API from your HRIS system.
• Translations are a breeze!
• Creating forms on the go is easy and efficient!
• Use your existing organization's SSO for ease of use and security.

• Adding the ability for employee to be able to set up their own reminders would be beneficial for those that seem to forget to clock in or out

Connecteam is far more robust in terms of features. The pricing is better too

Since we selected Staffbase, they are one of a few companies that haven't been acquired or changed its business model. We would have invested a lot of time and money rebuilding our intranet otherwise. We selected them because of the standard features included, the free updates, and the reasonable licensing fees. They understand the value of communicating with non-desk employees and keeping them engaged.

• Before Connecteam I hated "Payroll Mondays" because it took a few hours to do everyone's time and upload it for the accountant. Now it takes maybe 15 mintues to do the entire process. I feel like it is more accurate and definitely less time-consuming - saving me money in the long run.
• Connecteam has also allowed for quick glance time management to reduce overtime. Having accurate info allowing us to redeploy team members as needed and get other off the clock sooner. Or if we are having OT it is not a surprise - we can plan for it
• Our accountant has love the reporting and has even recommended it to other small business because it provides all the info needed.

• Engagement levels increased for non-desk employees without access to a PC.
• We leverage the tool as part of our crisis management activities, without having to invest in an additional platform.
• We can issue surveys quickly without investing in additional engagement tools.
